Nevaeh Eden, Glamour Model and Gamer Girl

This week I review one of the movies I have looked forward to the most–”9″. As I always caution, I will try not to ruin any part of the movie, but this hot webcam chick makes no promises! First, I will include a short summary on the movie, for those of you who haven’t seen it, or don’t know what it’s about:

“When 9 first comes to life, the main character finds himself in a post-apocalyptic world where all humans are gone, and it is only by chance that he discovers a small community of others like him taking refuge from fearsome machines that roam the earth intent on their extinction. Despite being the neophyte of the group, 9 convinces the others that hiding will do them no good. They must take the offensive if they are to survive, and they must discover why the machines want to destroy them in the first place. As they’ll soon come to learn, the very future of civilization may depend on them.” Written by Focus Features

Not only is Tim Burton one of my favorite directors, but this sexy school girl loves animated movies. So, my expectations for “9″ were really high, but the movie didn’t quite tug at my heart strings like so many of Tim Burton’s other movies did. It was a good movie overall, but the plot and character development were lacking mostly to the point where I didn’t really make a connection with most of the characters. This mediocre character development caused me to lack empathy when someone got killed or got in trouble.

The plot was a bit too predictable for my taste—sort of like a typical hot webcam chick doing a booty dance on her cam. But, it had some really intense action scenes, a lot of dialogue, was really interesting and flowed nicely. I think the idea of the movie was brilliant, but it just didn’t get carried out to its full potential. Can one really get connected with a 79-minute movie? I don’t think so. On the other hand the voice castings were phenomenal, and each one fit the character it was portraying. It was a bit of a depressing movie, but had a really strong message about self-sacrifice and making up for one’s mistakes; it’s a recurring theme throughout the entire movie. The one big plus for me was the artwork; it was simply phenomenal! Every frame could be captured and framed on the wall. Now, if you’ve seen the movie, you know the ending was a little weird. So, I did a little research to better understand and this is my favorite theory on the talisman.

Read that and let me know if you agree or not. What’s your opinion on it? I think overall I would give it a 6.5/10 star rating—sort of like a not to hot chick that I would only “do” if I was really drunk at the end of the night. I wouldn’t pay to see it again, but I would go see it if someone else was paying. Hope my reviews keep you thinking about the movies, regardless of if you want to see it or not. OK! So this week I was in a feisty mood and took some time out to finally see “Inglorious Basterds” and I am SO glad I did. Here’s a short summary for those of you who haven’t seen it yet, or don’t know what it’s about:

“In Nazi occupied France, young Jewish refugee Shosanna Dreyfus witnesses the slaughter of her family by Colonel Hans Landa. Narrowly escaping with her life, she plots her revenge several years later when German war hero Fredrick Zoller takes a rapid interest in her and arranges an illustrious movie premiere at the theater she now runs. With the promise of every major Nazi officer in attendance, the event catches the attention of the “Basterds”, a group of Jewish-American guerilla soldiers led by the ruthless Lt. Aldo Raine. As the relentless executioners advance and the conspiring young girl’s plans are set in motion, their paths will cross for a fateful evening that will shake the very annals of history.” Written by The Massie Twins.

“During World War II a group of Jewish-American soldiers known as ‘The Basterds’ are chosen specifically to spread fear throughout the Third Reich by scalping and brutally killing Nazis. The Basterds soon cross paths with a French-Jewish woman who runs a movie theater in Paris which is targeted by the soldiers.” Written by PopeyePete.

I was SO impressed with this movie, I don’t even know where to begin! Tarentino always produces crazy and weird movies, and this one is no exception. It was pretty tame (considering the previews). There wasn’t as much blood and gore as I thought there was gonna be, and hardly any cursing at all. You would think from the previews where “killin’ Nazis” is the emphasis, that there would have been more Nazi killin’. If I had to briefly describe it, I would say it was sadistically hilarious, haha! All the characters were casted wonderfully. I’m not a huge fan of Bad Prick…i mean Mr. Pitt, but I thoroughly enjoyed him in this film; he definitely was my favorite character, and very lovable. Ms. Laurent’s character, Shosanna Dreyfus, was similarly enjoyable. Her struggle is empowering and her vengeance was sweet.

The story of the movie was intricately written, crossing sub-stories and melding together wonderfully. I thought it was very believable, as I had to constantly remind myself that I was in a movie, and not in history class. I felt like the movie was a bit long, but I’m glad it was, otherwise I feel it would have taken away precious and crucial elements from the plot. I am absolutely crazy about this movie though, so I’m giving it a 9/10! I would pay to go see this again and will probably look for it when it comes out on DVD.

So, I want to spice up my blog a little and have decided to start reviewing some moves and games you might be interested in checking out. I’ll try to make a monthly game review and a monthly movie review on the games I’ve played and the movies I’ve seen. If YOU have any requests, let me know and I’ll do the best that I can to take a look and let you know my experience and opinion!

So first up on the chopping block this month is “Jennifer’s Body” starring Megan Fox. I was really pumped about going to see this movie, and since it came out right before my birthday I saw it as a present to myself. Now, I’ll try not to ruin it for anyone who hasn’t seen it, but still intends to, but I make no promises.

Frankly, this movie was laughable, and by that I mean that I didn’t think it was well done at all. The script was filled with cheesy lines as if the writer went through every other horror/teen flick/romance and plucked the most cliché lines and smooshed them all together! Along with the cheesy lines was a very predictable plot. I had so many “don’t open the door!” moments I nearly cried in laughter. Even the serious parts of the movie were hilarious, and I’m sure they weren’t supposed to be. So, one would expect with cheesy lines and a predictable plot, there would at least be good acting? Wrong again. Over and under exaggerated scenes got pretty annoying, and frankly I only stayed to hopefully see Ms. Fox’s tits. No luck there either. *sadface*

So after all these bad elements, there certainly must be something that keeps people going to the theater…the kiss? Between Megan Fox’s smokin’ body and Amanda Seyfried’s innocent nerd appeal, I have to say I was a bit wet between the legs. Although it wasn’t nearly long enough, it was enough to make the movie a 2/5 for me. Don’t take my word for it though! Go see it for yourself, and if you can stomach the bad acting, cheesy lines and overly dramatic antics throughout the sexy horror flick, surely the kiss will at least get u hard. But, when it turns out to be a letdown, you can come spend some good quality time with me on my new webcam! (Coming Soon to a Computer Near You!)

Hi Fellas! Nev here, I’m sure you’ve already read a bit about me, but i wanted to give you a deeper look into who I really am. First off, I’m a soon-to-be 20 year old runway model and gamer chick. I’m also a tomboy at heart; I love to play sports, work on cars, get down in the mud, and just get dirty! I’m a bit of an Army brat, and have been for a while, as a matter of fact my daddy just got home from deployment! I’m so happy he’s home, and I my thoughts are with the rest of our troops!

I’ve been asked many times “What does it mean to be a SoCalGlamourGirl to you?” and well, the first thing that comes to mind is “family”. I’ve been able to get so close to many of the girls, and it truly does feels like a family. Even when we fight, we end up coming out of it loving each other (the makeup sex is GREAT!).
We’re also a working partnership with probably the nicest and most awesome company I’ve ever had the pleasure of being affiliated with. I was going through a really hard time in December as I had just lost my job, and then Kat scooped me up and nurtured me to be a success story. I was really nervous at first, but once I got comfortable I grew to love the team and the organization I had joined.

Lastly, we’re a community, where I get to interact with the sweetest guys ever! My fans always brighten up my day when I wake up, check my Tweets and I have a bunch sitting in my inbox saying “luv u Nev” or “Ur the best sweetie!” To me, the fan appreciation is the greatest thing ever! Plus I feel like we are completely unique not only because our girls are the hottest, but we’re the most fun, the goofiest, the nicest and all around best (naughty) girls!
